Dr. Wenjuan Gao

Dr. Wenjuan Gao is an Associate Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beihang University (China). She received her Ph.D. in Public Administration from Peking University, with joint doctoral training at Columbia University. Her research focuses on the economics of education and higher education, with particular attention to academic profession, and student growth and support in higher education. She has published more than 30 articles in Chinese and international journals and has been cited over 1200 times on Google Scholar. She has led several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, and the Beijing Social Science Foundation. Her doctoral dissertation was selected for inclusion in the Doctoral Dissertation Library of Higher Education Studies by the China Association of Higher Education. 

From September 2025 to September 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Wenjuan Gao will stay at INCHER as a research fellow. She looks forward to dialogue and collaboration with colleagues at INCHER, in Germany and beyond.
