Project meeting March

On March 12 and 13, 2026, the 3rd LOEWE-TRIO general meeting took place at the Frankenhausen Research Station. All project partners from the 12 sub-projects as well as field technicians and farmers were represented at the two-day event.

On the first day, the results of the first two years were presented by each of the doctoral candidates. On the second day, the project members discussed data management and publication strategies, as TRIO has now been running for 27 months and the first manuscripts are being submitted to international journals (see Publications).

The progress of the project and all milestones reached so far were analyzed in the large group. In addition, the next steps in the laboratory analyses and the sampling plans for the final project field year (2026) were determined. The participants also had the opportunity to gain an insight into the current perennial crops established in 2024 on site in Frankenhausen and to observe the current work on the plots, such as the installation of soil moisture sensors.

The regular general meetings of the TRIO team promote the exchange of knowledge, cooperation and the "we" feeling!
