Our Target Group

The ISU program is designed for motivated and qualified students, researchers and teachers, as well as for people working in the fields of environmental engineering, environmental science, and also architecture, culture, politics, and business. ISU students should be interested in the German and European perspective of their individual disciplines and in learning or refresh their German by participating in an intensive language course.

Our Profile

From 2006, ISU Kassel will put a strong focus on environmental issues. Thus, the ISU will strengthen the University of Kassel’s reputation as one of the leading German institutions for environmental disciplines, and will at the same time benefit from the know-how and excellence of Kassel professors.

ISU Kassel offers a unique study environment with the local students still on campus. ISU and Kassel students will have the chance to meet in selected classes, as "tandem-language-partners", in campus cafés, and during leisure activities. In addition to this, ISU student will live with German host families and learn about everyday life in Germany through personal experience.

Our summer program combines high quality education with an environmental, technical, and cultural focus, credit points, priceless personal experience, and first hand impressions about Germany and Europe.
