Maintenance work on the IT systems on October 2 and October 4, 2026
Due to urgent maintenance and configuration work on security-related network and firewall components, there may be interruptions in the Internet connection and the connection to the University of Kassel’s campuses on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, October 4,October 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m., there may be interruptions in the Internet connection and the connection to the University of Kassel’s campuses
Two things are different from previous maintenance weekends:
- Access to the university network, VPN, and drives, etc., will continue to function during the maintenance period.
- The maintenance weekend begins as early as Friday afternoon.
There will be restrictions on the following systems:
The SAP systems, including travel expense reimbursement, absences, and invoice processing (PK1, PHR, Ever, ESS, and ESS via Fiori) will be unavailable from Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m.
The following additional systems will be unavailable on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. until approximately 7:00 p.m.:
- Time Tracking (Tisoware)
- Siport and Salto access control systems
- SharePoint
- DMS
- Control systems
- Silent Alarm
- IKONMatrix2
- Interwatt
- Eplas
On Friday afternoon, there may also be occasional disruptions to the Exchange email system.
