Maintenance work on the IT systems on 29.03. and 30.03.2025
Due to urgent maintenance and configuration work on security-relevant network and firewall components, there will be, as announced, interruptions in the availability of all central network and IT services from Saturday, 29.03.2025, 08:00 to Sunday, 30.03.2025, approx. 18:00.
During this period, the internet connections to and from the University of Kassel sites will have to be shut down several times.
For you, this means that central IT services will unfortunately be unavailable for some time during this period.
This applies in particular to
- Moodle and Mahara
- the eCampus
- the central mail system (incoming emails will not be lost, but will be delivered as soon as the network is back online)
- the central printing services via the CampusCard (e.g. in the University Library)
- the internet presence
- Zoom, BigBlueButton and Panopto
- the network drives, databases and the Hessenbox
- DMS and B-ITE, SharePoint
The central mail system, SharePoint, Siport access system, central printing services and the document management systems are expected to be unavailable on Saturday from 08:00 to approx. 18:00.
All SAP systems, including travel expense accounting, time recording, absences, invoice processing (PK1, PHR, Ever, ESS and ESS via Fiori) will not be available throughout this weekend and should only be used again from Monday morning (31.03.).
In addition, the VDI service will not be available from Friday, 28.03.25, 16:00 to Monday, 31.03.25 09:00.
We ask you to plan your work accordingly and recommend that you download digital data and documents that you want to work with offline during the maintenance weekend in good time.
