Digital Congress North Hesse: Digital success together

Under the motto "Cross-industry solutions for a smart future", the first Digital Congress North Hesse took place on May 21, 2025 at the Kongress Palais Kassel. Over 170 guests from business, science, politics and administration turned the premiere into a lively forum for exchange, innovation and collaboration on the digital transformation in the region. Organized by Regionalmanagement Nordhessen GmbH and IT Netzwerk e. V., in cooperation with eleven regional partners and sponsored by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Rural Areas, the congress sent out a strong signal: Digitalization is a joint project and North Hesse is ready to actively shape it.

"Digitalization cannot succeed on its own. It requires solidarity and must serve people," emphasized Reiner Brandt, Chairman of IT Netzwerk e. V., in the opening talk with IHK Vice President Alexander Starke. "Only when we work together across industries and disciplines will solutions emerge that not only work technically, but also bring real added value to employees, make processes easier and open up new opportunities. The Digital Congress impressively demonstrates the potential that lies in North Hesse when IT, industry, administration and research work together on a digital future."

Timon Gremmels, Hessian Minister for Science and Research, Art and Culture, also emphasized the importance of application-oriented research in his video message. Hessian universities in particular, such as the University of Kassel, are key drivers of innovation with a social impact.

Experience smart technologies live

In addition to lectures and panels, the congress invited visitors to join in: At the exhibitor pitch, in workshops and at interactive stations, participants were able to experience smart applications live and find out about new technologies. The digital economy in North Hesse presented itself as innovative, practical and open to cooperation.
