REFA Workshop for Students

The collaboration between REFA Hessen and the Department of Human-Machine Systems Engineering at the University of Kassel has now taken concrete form for students: A hands-on workshop on REFA Industrial Engineering Essentials was held at the REFA Seminar Center in Kassel. The goal of the event was to familiarize students with practical methods of industrial engineering and to highlight their importance.

Concrete real-world examples illustrate how work processes can be improved

The workshop focused on the topics of work data management, time-recording methods, anthropometry, and ergonomics, as well as the integration of REFA methods and lean approaches. Using concrete real-world examples, the workshop demonstrated how work processes can be systematically analyzed, evaluated, and improved. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of people in the work system and the ergonomic design of workstations.

Practical methodology taught by REFA-Hessen instructors with many years of experience

The workshop was led by REFA-Hessen instructors Michael Deppe and Sascha Panten, who drew on their many years of practical experience and fostered an intensive exchange with the students. The event thus offered a valuable opportunity to link theoretical knowledge with real-world application examples and to experience industrial engineering methods in a practical setting.
