AiF-FQS project "Traceability for SMEs" launched

In collaboration with the Department of Production Organization and Factory Planning and industrial partners from the metalworking industry, an innovative methodology will be developed in the future that will significantly increase the performance and competitiveness of SMEs in the production of innovative, customer-specific products. The focus of the AIF-funded project is on ensuring optimum traceability and use of the information obtained. The software tool to be developed compares the individual product and process characteristics of SMEs with the strengths of various traceability solutions available on the market. On this basis, SMEs are shown the perfect traceability solution for their company in an easy-to-understand and low-effort way. Through context-specific options for action, companies are not only supported in introducing the optimal solution, but are also clearly shown how they can use the corresponding traceability system to continuously improve their production, logistics and service processes.
