New group member - Eireen Käkel

Eireen Käkel is a new member of the Mechanical Behavior of Materials working group led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Benoit Merle at the Institute for Materials Technology (IfW). She completed her studies in nanostructure sciences in 2019 and has since worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Nanostructure Technology and Analytics (INA) at the University of Kassel in the field of technical electronics under the direction of Prof. Dr. habil. Hartmut Hillmer. Her research focus here was on micro- and nanostructuring on curved structural geometries. At the IfW, she will be involved in tensile testing for the characterization of thin films.
