Scientific equipment
The Mechanical Behavior of Materials group operates a wide range of instruments that allow us to characterize materials both microstructurally and mechanically across several orders of length scales. We can perform mechanical characterization under a wide range of non-standard loading conditions to better account for operational environments, including cyclic loading, high temperatures, and elevated strain rates.
Our instrumental equipment is enhanced by advanced environmental control systems, guaranteeing superior reproducibility and minimized thermal drift during nanomechanical testing by maintaining a stable laboratory climate.
