New group member - Rahul Cherukuri

Rahul Cherukuri completed his MSc in Materials Science and Simulation from Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS), Ruhr University Bochum, Germany in 2018. He went to pursue his PhD at Tampere University Finland in materials science and engineering with a focus on evolution of deformation structures at high strain rates using nanoindentation. In October 2025, he joined the University of Kassel as a Researcher in the Institute of Materials Engineering under the Mechanical Behavior of Materials Group headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Benoit Merle. He will be working on the ERC NanoHighSpeed project.
