Talk by Lisa Ott at "Campus without Borders" on the topic "Europe Weeks - Female Empowerment"

The event “Campus without Borders” promotes intercultural and interdisciplinary exchange at the University of Kassel and took place on 30 April 2026 under the theme “Europe Weeks – Female Empowerment”. As part of the programme series, guests were invited to an evening dedicated to the topics of female empowerment, international educational pathways and inspiring women from the fields of engineering, law and medicine. 

One of the speakers was Lisa Ott, who spoke about her Erasmus internship at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland. In addition to her professional career, she provided insights into life as a mechanical engineering student at LUT. As part of her internship, she had the opportunity to write her Master’s thesis on the load-bearing capacity of welded joints in ultra-high-strength steel, thereby gaining fascinating insights into LUT’s laboratories and research topics.
