Information on the compulsory internship can be foundat on the pages of the internship coordination of FB 02.

Voluntary internships or internships extended beyond the mandatory period may be recognized as project seminars or key competencies. Please contact your academic advisor. The department recommends that all students do an internship to prepare for their future professional life. This recommendation is considered a reason for leave of absence and must be submitted to the Registrar's Office at together with the application for leave of absence.

Teacher training students or students of vocational or business education can also complete their practical school studies (SPS) abroad. The department recommends that all students study abroad to improve their language skills. You can take leave of absence for this  for this.

For the BA program English and American Studies at the Institute of English and American Studies , studying abroad is compulsory. Please refer to your examination regulations  and the Institute's website.

If the semester abroad is not compulsory, you can take leave of absence to study abroad. The department recommends that all students study abroad to improve their language skills. This recommendation is considered a reason for leave of absence and must be submitted to Student Services together with the application for leave of absence.
