Call for Papers | Design Modelling Symposium Kassel 2024

The upcoming Design Modeling Symposium 2024 is themed "Scalable Disruptors" and will take place in Kassel, Germany, from September 14-18, 2024. It is organized by the departments of Experimental and Digital Design and Construction (EDEK) and Structural Design (TWE) at the University of Kassel. The organizers are pleased to announce the call for papers.
 
The conference embraces research contributions focusing on the modeling of performance-based designs, transformation, and growth processes. A particular emphasis lies on material efficiency, renewable resources, and advanced technologies like simulation and machine learning, spanning four key themes, including scalability to measure and evaluate outcomes.

The Advisory Board includes Philipp Eversmann (University of Kassel), Christoph Gengnagel (University of the Arts Berlin), Julian Lienhard (University of Kassel), Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen (CITA - The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Copenhagen) and Jan Wurm (KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture).
The Design Modelling Symposium is a global interdisciplinary focal point for computational design in architecture, engineering, arts, and product design, with a history dating back to 2009. Previous editions of this prestigious event have been hosted in Berlin, Copenhagen, and Paris.
