Committee for the Safeguarding of Good Scientific and Artistic / Creative Practice

The University Senate appointed the Committee for the Safeguarding of Good Scientific and Artistic / Creative Practice at its meeting on 3 February 2011 in response to cases of scientific misconduct at various German and foreign universities. The task of the Committee is to clarify the facts in the event of suspected scientific misconduct in accordance with the "Principles for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice at the University of Kassel" as amended on 27 July 2022. This should be preceded by an initial contact to the ombudspersons of the Commission for Good Scientific Practice for all involved parties.

With the revision of the statutes in 2022, artistic and creative activities were explicitly included in the competence of the Commission and the name of the Commission "Committee for the Safeguarding of Good Scientific and Artistic / Creative Practice" was changed accordingly.

The Committee for the Safeguarding of Good Scientific and Artistic / Creative Practice at the University of Kassel consists of eight members of the University from different faculties of the University and the School of Art and Design. The term of office of the committee is three years from September 16, 2023 to September 15, 2026.
