In order to receive your ECTS points you will have to successfully complete the set course requirements. Usually, students are to achieve 30 ECTS points per semester. Please contact your home university to sort out any problems concerning the number of ECTS points you are required to attain.

ERASMUS students are required to fill out a Learning Agreement form for their home university. The Learning Agreement is a list of the modules (seminars, lectures, etc.) which you would like to attend at the University of Kassel.

  1. You can get this form from the coordinator at your home university.
  2. In the form, fill out the modules which you would like to study at the University of Kassel.
  3. The completed form must be signed by the ERASMUS coordinators of your home University.
    • Departmental Coordinator (of your department)
    • Institutional Coordinator
(in most cases a staff member of the International Office)

Send the completed form to the University of Kassel. There it must be signed by the ERASMUS coordinators, too:

You can either send the documents via post, email or upload it with your application. We will forward the documents to the Departmental Coordinator who is responsible for your application. Who is in charge depends on your field of study and country of origin.

Afterwards, we will send the signed Learning Agreement back to you.

If you have questions concerning the completion of your Learning Agreement, please contact the Erasmus coordinators at your home university.

All exchange students can take part in a pre-semester Erasmus German course.

This is a two-week long intensive language course. A fee is required to be paid for participation in this course.
