Abstract

An approach to model predictive control of nonlinear systems with fast dynamics, disturbances, as well as polytopic state and input constraints is presented. Techniques based on linear parameter varying (LPV) systems are used to obtain multiple polyhedral invariant sets to establish stability constraints and to allow for linear prediction models for fast online computation. The presented approach enables switching between setpoints in different operating regions without the need of re-computing the sets online.
