ECE Seminar
Concepts and Structures for Dynamic Runtime Reconfiguration
Type: ECE Master, 2SWS, 2 CP, offered each semester
Contents: learn how to work with literature and how to write a research paper and present it.
Topics are in the area of:
- memory in the context of FPGAs, FPGA families,
- concepts of runtime reconfiguration of hardware and the role of SRAM memory,
- reconfigurable hardware structures, CGRAs (coarse-grained reconfigurable architectures),
- reconfiguration technologies and mechanisms, i.e. hardware implementation elements for all types of calculations, e.g. for communication systems,
- impact of (SRAM/DRAM) memory in different architectures, memory wall, roofline model, memory in HW-based AI implementations etc.
