Our ap­p­li­ca­ti­on round for winter term 2026/2027 with start of stu­dies in October 2026 is open now! Application deadline is July 15, 2026.

Please follow our application guideline, and make sure to read our FAQs, and calculate your GPA according to German standards.

The following criteria should be met by a student applying for the ECE program:

  • a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications or related area with a sufficient GPA (“good“)
  • good command of English being equivalent to a level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); no English language evidence is required in case of a Bachelor degree obtained in an English study program or in case of English being the mother tongue of the applicant.

There are no tuition fees except for the so-called semester fee of about 392 Euro per term including free use of public transport and certain other services.

How to apply

Before applying, make sure that you can cover the expenses of the ECE study program.

A. Apply via uni-assist, if you hold a Bachelor degree from a university outside Germany.

B. Apply via University of Kassel, if you hold German Bachelor degree or a double degree from a German university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule).
