Student Services

Our student services should help students to simplify organizational tasks and to get acquainted with the living conditions in Kassel soon. The services comprise a support from an accommodation office and a German language course.

Accommodation office

Our accommodation office helps you with finding a room or a flat. Basically, the earlier you apply for a room, the more likely it is to get one and the cheaper it gets. The following fees include the rent for six months and are subject to the indicated conditions:

FeesConditions
2,800 EuroBooking latest 31.12. for the summer term or 30.06. for the winter term, furnished room in Kassel including bed linen and cookware, accident insurance
3,000 EuroBooking latest 31.01. for the summer term or 31.07. for the winter term, furnished room in Kassel including bed linen and cookware, accident insurance
3,300 EuroBooking latest 28.02. for the summer term or 31.08. for the winter term, furnished room in Kassel including bed linen and cookware, accident insurance

If you apply later than 4 weeks before the start of the semester, no guarantee can be given for the provision of a room in Kassel. In case of unavailable rooms, the accommodation office will try to provide an accommodation in Witzenhausen which is outside Kassel, but can be reached by public transport. An accommodation in Witzenhausen is also an option for those who want to save money, since the rents might be less. Visit the web site of the accommodation office (Studierendenwerk Kassel) to inquire about the definite fees at the different sites in Witzenhausen as well as about the conditions for renting a room there.

German language course

The German language is a key for getting familiar with your environment. Also, upon graduation, many students take up employment in Germany. So there are many reasons why a German language course is compulsory for students not speaking German. Note that the course is free of charge. A German language course at our campus in Wilhelmshöher Allee 73 for beginners up to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level A2 is part of the ECE curriculum (“Social Communication” module), which is offered each semester.
