Equipment and service

The Department of Electrical Machines and Drives consists of a secretary and a director as well as several scientific staff members, a laboratory engineer, scientific assistants and a large number of diploma students.

The basic equipment includes:

• Test field with connected load 1MW (crane with 2t lifting load)
• Electromechanical converter sets
• Power converters up to 1MW
• Mechanical workshop
• Electrical workshop
• Access to FAST equipment (Vehicle Systems Research Network)
• IT technology of the latest generation (High Performance Workstation)
