An open source massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game (MMORTS) is being developed within the project.

Tasks
Components of the game are developed and integrated by small groups in consultation with interfaces. Typical components that can be worked on are

  • Artificial intelligence (control of units)
  • Improving the graphics and creating the user interface
  • Audio (music and sound effects)
  • Use of physics simulation (collision detection and handling)
  • Editor for units and terrain
  • Expansion and improvement of the game logic
  • Expansion of the network capability

The resulting game will be actively used in research into the parallelization of computer games.

Requirements
Knowledge of Java and linear algebra or the willingness to acquire this knowledge during the project is a prerequisite.
