The research interests of our group are centered around parallel programming. General goal is the evaluation and improvement of parallel programming systems wrt. usability, performance, fault tolerance and other issues.  At present, we are concentrating on the Partitioned Global Address Space (PGAS) programming model, and mainly work with X10 and the APGAS library for Java.

A second focal point of our research is the development of parallel algorithms and libraries. At present, we are concentrating on task pools, which have many applications both in runtime systems of task-based parallel programming systems, and for load balancing of irregular applications. Focusing on lifeline-based global load balancing, the goal of our research is making task pools both fault-tolerant and elastic.
