Research

The research interests of our group are centered around parallel programming. General goal is the evaluation and improvement of parallel programming systems wrt. usability, performance, fault tolerance and other issues.  At present, we are concentrating on the Asynchronous Many-Task (AMT) and Partitioned Global Address Space (PGAS) programming models.

A second focal point of our research is the development of parallel algorithms and libraries. At present, we are concentrating on task pools, which have many applications in runtime systems of Asynchronous Many-Task systems, and for the load balancing of irregular applications. Our main goals are reducing the communication costs and making the task pools resilient against hardware failures.
