About our group

The Internet is the largest distributed system ever built, and our mission is to empirically understand and optimize the Internet. Our research and teaching activities are concerned with the design principles of modern network and distributed systems, as well as their security aspects and valuation of user perception.

    Large-scale analysis of the Internet using by data science methods

    Empirical analysis of Internet security and methods to improve Internet security (e.g. anomaly detection / DDoS protection)

    Investigation of communication characteristics of social networks and methods for improving security
