PARSENS – Development of a Scalable Particle and Wind Measurement System

The goal of the PARSENS project is the development of a compact measuring system for short distances up to 100 m to record the air stream, wind speed, and wind direction. The measuring system includes a compact meteorological sensor based on lateral telemetry with scalable data management architecture. The intelligent communication of the system via innovative Fog Computing technology allows scalable and cross-application use, from Smart City networks to autonomous aviation in the future.

PARSENS is a joint project funded by LOEWE and started in 2019. In PARSENS, we collaborate with Air Profile GmbH, which is an expert in optical measurement techniques.
