Jana Walter, coordinator of the "Streck-DICH Campus der bewegt" health project at Kassel University Sports, has successfully completed the one-year qualification series "Health management in and through university sports".

This started for the first time in June 2021 and arose from the joint initiative of the General German University Sports Association and Techniker Krankenkasse "Bewegt studieren - Studieren bewegt!". The qualification series aims to strengthen and qualify university sports facilities as players in health management. Following a kick-off event last summer, the series also included four consecutive seminars, which dealt with topics such as organizational development and communication. During the year, particular attention was paid to the individual situation at the various university sports facilities and their own health projects were further developed.

In addition to Kassel General University Sports, a further 14 locations took part in the new qualification series in order to promote the development of skills in the field of "Health management at universities".

Jana Walter was continuously accompanied by the University Sports Officer Dr. Tobias Heyer, who supported the further development in his role as mentor. Both took part in the certificate presentation ceremony at the closing event on June 14, 2022 in Frankfurt am Main.

The long-term goal for general university sport in Kassel is to integrate the field of health management and implement the "Streck-DICH Campus der bewegt" health project into the existing structures at the site.
