3rd place in the adh high school race 2022

On September 20, the International Day of University Sports (IDUS), students, staff, exercise instructors and university sports members were invited to walk as many kilometers and meters as possible for their own university within 60 minutes.

After our successful first participation last year (4th place, just behind the University of Göttingen), our ambition was awakened. In 2021, our 42 runners covered a total of 307.59 kilometers and 1990 meters in altitude.

Now we can look back on a great success at IDUS 2022. With 651.76 kilometers, we doubled our running performance. The University of Kassel achieved third place and secured bronze at the adh high school run. In addition to 651.76 kilometers, 71 enthusiastic finishers also collected 6675 meters of altitude (5th place in the overall ranking). This allowed us to climb one place in the rankings and secure a place on the podium. As in the previous year, the sports student council came out on top in the university's internal student council cup.

We would like to thank all the hard-working runners and are already looking forward to taking part next year. Maybe we'll even end up in 2nd place!
