German Taekwondo University Championships

On December 2, around 80 participants took part in the German University Championships (DHM) Taekwondo 2023 at the University of Jena. They competed against each other in numerous classes to crown the winners.

Thim Platz competed for the University of Kassel in Jena. Thim competed in the men's single C poomsae category.

In poomsae, prescribed sequences of techniques are performed without an opponent. Similar to gymnastics, performances are judged in terms of accuracy and precision. This requires maximum concentration and the ability to convincingly present the techniques learned as a fight.

Thim, whose home club is VfL Kassel, was able to gain important competition experience in two heats and took 1st place!
