Third place at the 10th Ergometer DHM in Marburg

On March 1, 2025, the Kassel University Rowing Team (KURT) competed in the tenth German University Ergometer Championships in Marburg. Even though, as in the previous year, we were unable to win a rowing ergometer for our university this year, our 27 rowers still achieved third place in the overall standings with 41 points. We were only beaten by the athletes from Constance (2nd place) and Heidelberg (1st place).

On the one hand, as the author of this report, I would like to emphasize the extraordinary motivation and the palpable team spirit that made the regatta a successful day of sport for each and every one of us rowers and also strengthened our bonds as a team. On the other hand, special thanks also go to our coaches, who certainly challenged us throughout the winter with a great deal of effort and meticulous training methods, but above all prepared us excellently for this day.

Finally, on behalf of all the rowers who took part, I would like to thank the representatives of the university sports department for making it possible for us to take part in more than just this regatta.
