Successful premiere of the "Move & Groove" event at the Holländischer Platz campus

On May 6, 2025, the "Move & Groove" event took place for the first time on the Holländischer Platz campus, marking the start of the revival of the sports fields at HoPla. Organized by study well, the student health management team, the event attracted numerous students and interested parties to a varied program of movement, music and art. The opening by Chancellor Dr. Oliver Fromm set the tone for a lively afternoon of creative graffiti works, exciting volleyball workshops and sociable games such as XXL Jenga and Cornhole.

Chilled beats and refreshing drinks ensured a relaxed atmosphere. From 17:00, the "Kitchen for All" provided guests with delicious cold cuts and fresh bread. Visitors also had the opportunity to test their shooting speed at the speed shot facility and find out about environmentally friendly campus designs and sustainable sports activities.

A special highlight was the dance performance by Frauke with Meaggy and the sports students, who captivated the audience with their animal performance and the "Power of Emotions" choreography.

Overall, "Move & Groove" was a complete success, promoting interest in communal exercise and social interaction and successfully kick-starting the revitalization of the sports facilities at HoPla. Initial ideas for future events of this kind have already been incorporated into the planning. A big thank you to everyone involved for the successful event!
