Campus Cleanup on 30.06.2025

Can you collect 100kg of waste on campus in an hour and a half? - Yes, it's been done before! We want to do it again! We need your support!

The Green Office, University Sports with the Green Sports project and the Resource Management and Waste Technology group are planning to hold a cleanup (waste collection campaign) on the campus at Holländischer Platz on Monday, June 30, 2025. Cooperation partners are the initiative Wir machen das jetzt einfach e.V. and the Kassel group of the Captain Paul Watson Foundation Germany e.V.
The cleanup is scheduled to take place between 11:00 and 12:30. All university members and other interested parties are cordially invited to support the campaign. University employees can be released from work for the duration of the event. Tools for collecting the waste will be provided. The starting point is at the Green Office in Nora-Platiel-Straße 2. After the collection campaign, refreshments will be served as a thank-you to all participants.
The FG Resource Management and Waste Technology of Faculty 14 will carry out an analysis of the collected waste directly after the event in order to gain insights into the waste problem on campus. Interested parties are also cordially invited to participate.
