Introductory seminar InterESD Profile 2026

The introductory seminar for the InterESD profile took place on January 23, 2026. The event was opened by Rita Wodzinski. In a personal round of introductions, the students brought along objects that symbolize sustainability for them and shared their associations with them - a successful introduction that made different perspectives visible and shaped the exchange right from the start.

This was followed by an introduction to central questions of sustainable education and a work phase to develop initial individual key questions. The participants had become aware of the InterESD profile in different ways - for example through other seminars, the subject teaching course or through recommendations from fellow students. During the working phase, a wide range of topics emerged, including social media and consumption, health and sustainable management, consumer behavior, Eurocentrism, environmental problems and the resource consequences of artificial intelligence.

Another focus was the presentation of the international "Changes" project, including the planned Summer School 2026 "Learning for Change: Indigenous Perspectives in Global Education" and the project seminar in module M9 (core studies). Information was also provided on the Changes scholarships for 2027.

The event concluded with the introduction of the mentors and an initial exchange on interests, questions and next steps - with the aim of further sharpening and supporting the students' individual topics in the coming months.
