Future Skills - Next skills - ?

"Future skills" are a central topic at universities and in the world of work - at the same time, different terms and concepts exist (e.g. future/next skills). The workshop creates clarity, provides a compact overview of the state of discussion and implementation and focuses on the didactically meaningful anchoring in one's own teaching.

At the center of the "skills discussion" are individual-personal skills for current and future social, technical and ecological challenges. You will work on your own practical teaching project and develop concrete implementation options for your courses.

Learning objectives

The participants

• apply knowledge about future skills in a didactically effective way to design their teaching concepts,
• convey these skills explicitly,
• design forms of assessment with reference to previously taught skills.

Contents

• Clarification of terms and concepts: Future Skills / Next Skills
• Overview of concepts, implementation status and lines of discussion
• Analysis of own teaching formats: Where do I already teach future skills?
• Future orientation: Which skills can I teach with which means/methods?
• Explicit teaching: How do I make students aware of their learning process?

Methods/ didactic concept (flipped classroom)

The workshop is practice-oriented and PowerPoint-free. Approximately one week before the start, you will receive learning material via Moodle and a short, structured needs assessment for the workshop design. In the online phase, we work with practical exercises, exchange and feedback. An individual, topic-related coaching appointment with the speaker is possible on request.
