Report on Intensive Language Study in Valencia | Erasmus+ Staff Mobility

In October 2025, Claudia Jacobi – office manager at the Division of Historical Musicology – completed a one-week intensive language program in Valencia, Spain. Her further training was funded as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program, and the University's International Office provided practical support in organising her stay abroad.

In an informative report, Claudia Jacobi reflects upon her experience in Valencia and provides practical insights for all employees of the University of Kassel who are likewise interested in such international experiences and further training opportunities.

Announcement for the Summer of 2026

Prof. Dr. Carolin Krahn will be on sabbatical during the summer semester of 2026. The departmental office will remain open as usual during this time.

Dr. Emilia Pelliccia will offer various courses in Historical Musicology during the summer term. She is also the contact person for mobility programs at the Department of Music and regularly hosts the digital information event "Move it! Consultation Hours for International Students" on studying, internships and research stays abroad.

Students should please note that there will be no consultation hours with the department chair in April and May 2026. In urgent matters during the summer semester, please first reach out to Claudia Jacobi by email with a brief description of your concern. You will receive a reply at our earliest convenience.
