Thesis Supervision

I supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses as a primary or secondary advisor. If you are interested in writing your thesis under my supervision, please contact me by email to schedule an initial meeting. I should receive your request no later than four months before you register your bachelor’s thesis. Your supervision request should include the proposed topic, a potential research question or the thesis’s objective, and the methodological approach. 

Please review the Moodle course “Bachelor’s Thesis in Social Work” in advance to familiarize yourself with the deadlines, information on preparing an abstract, and the evaluation criteria. 

Range of topics for the theses I supervise: 

• Theories, concepts, and methods of child and youth welfare
• Professionalization of Social Work
• (Transnational) family relationships
• Child protection (particularly in the context of transnationality and/or digitalization)
• Globalization, glocalization, transnationalism, and social work
• Refugees and Migration
