1985 to 1992 studied music and German language and literature at the University of Kassel. From 1988 to 1993 teacher for EMP and piano at the music schools Hofgeismar and Bad Karlshafen, further education for EMP and children's dance.

Since 1993 teacher at elementary and special schools; focus of work is project-oriented work with multinational classes and with integration or inclusion classes.

Since 2001 lecturer for music didactics at the University of Kassel, authoring and leading further education seminars.

Since 2006 music coordinator at a musical elementary school in Kassel.

Since 2010 co-editor of the journal "Grundschule Musik".
