Information from students

As students of German Studies, we are pleased to be able to share our contributions about studying German Studies in Kassel here. These contents are the results of a project work as part of the seminar "New media and text design in the digital network" in the summer semester 2019.

The semester's questions included: "What different categories of internet offerings are there?", "What is a blog?", "What characteristics do blogs often have?".

After our research and newly acquired knowledge, we also considered creating a blog that would allow us to engage more directly with interested parties. But then a page on the University of Kassel website seemed more practical and effective, especially as the content was to be about studying on site.

So what should the specific content be? That was certainly one of our biggest hurdles. Of course, it had to have something to do with the university; but who reads any hidden seminar papers by students on the university website? The people closest to us were prospective students and first-year students.

So we have put together a small collection of topics - certainly without any claim to completeness - with interesting facts, such as which skills you need for which subject. For those who want to know what they might be getting themselves into, we also discussed a few clichés about the degree courses. And for the newcomers to Kassel, we added a bit of culture.
