On 20.05.16 the first self-organized working day of ISW languages took place. Numerous teachers from the state of Hesse and student teachers from the University of Kassel took part in this event, which was accredited as in-service training by the Hessian State Education Authority. Under the guiding theme "Tasks in a Multilingual Learning Context", the participants were able to attend various workshops and take away many new ideas for their own language teaching. The heads of the departments Prof. Dr. Karin Aguado (DaF/Z), Prof. Dr. Norbert Kruse (German Primary Didactics), Prof. Dr. Bernd Tesch (Romance Studies), Prof. Dr. Claudia Finkbeiner and StR i. H. Marc Smasal (both English Studies FLUL/IK) provided input, while the participants could test and discuss some tasks in small groups. The workday was a great success, so there will be more workdays at ISW in the future.
