Lisanna Kelz works as a student assistant in the “International Relations with a Focus on Latin America” program and in the “Extractivism” research network, a collaboration between the Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos (CELA) and other research institutions at the Universities of Kassel and Marburg. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Global Political Economy and Development (GPED) at the University of Kassel. Both academically and as an activist, she focuses on the political economy of (sovereign) debt and its connection to climate, natural resource, and agricultural policies. She is particularly interested in the perspectives on a just socio-ecological transformation that anti-colonial, Marxist, and feminist analyses can offer.
