In this interview, Clelia Caruso and Conrad Lluis ask how the transition to democracy - the "Transición" - took place. What opportunities did it open up, and which were lost? A new upheaval, referred to by some as the second transition, was triggered by the square occupations of the indignados (the indignant) from 2011 onwards. What remains of this cycle of protest? A social democratic government or rather a neo-authoritarian reaction?
