Effect-controlled action control in movement learning - How do I tell my child?
The aim of the expert workshop is to investigate the problem of which findings can be derived from the findings on effect-driven action control for instruction and for the design of suitable learning environments in the movement learning process. In particular, we are interested in the question of the (implicit) learning mode within which motor skill acquisition can be anchored. If it is true that human actions are controlled by anticipated effects, it makes sense to ask about associated instructions that facilitate the acquisition of movement skills by the learner. In this context, findings from experts in experimental cognitive psychology, knowledge theory and neuroscience will be projected onto considerations of movement learning, including aspects of attention control, analogy learning, metaphorical learning and implicit learning.
The expert workshop is aimed in particular (but not only) at doctoral and post-doctoral students who are working on the principles of human action control in movement learning in their scientific research. The topic of the workshop will be discussed by experts from different disciplines in keynote speeches. Each keynote presentation will be followed by an opportunity for questions from the plenary, whereby not only the expertise from the other disciplines will be sought, but also the next generation of scientists will be actively involved in the discussion. In addition, young scientists will have the opportunity to present their own research projects as an overview or individual results from ongoing studies as a poster contribution. Furthermore, it is planned that the experts will also be available for informal discussions on the fringes of the workshop, e.g. during a joint excursion to the 13th Documenta, the world's most important exhibition of contemporary art.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kassel soon!
