Applying correctly for an ERASMUS+ study abroad program - application steps

    Obtain information

      • Select anexchange program
      • Obtain information material from partner universities by doing your own research on the Internet.
      • Visit our information event
    • 2.Step 2

      Get advice

       

      • in the weekly consultation hour (Team Internationales FB05): we will be happy to help you with an initial overview and orientation as well as with the next steps in the application process.
      • at the International Office: advice on forms of funding and non-subject-specific aspects of your stay abroad (Erasmus+ includes a country-specific scholarship)
      • by the Cooperation Officers of Faculty 05: advice on all subject-specific questions (courses offered, recognition at the University of Kassel, Learning Agreements).

      Application form

       

      • Please send your application to the International Affairs Team FB05 stating up to 3 universities sorted by preference

      Attention! The Department of Sport and Sport Science conducts a separate application procedure - please inform yourself here!

    Please submit your application documents exclusively by e-mail to the International Team FB05!

    • Enrollment at the University of Kassel
    • Possible from the 1st semester
    • Sufficient language skills in the language of instruction at the host university
    • If applicable, further requirements of the FB05
    • Printout of the online application (with details of 3 universities)
    • Letter of motivation (in English if applicable)
    • curriculum vitae
    • Transcript of records (HIS extract)
    • Language certificate (only if required by the partner university)

    • For stays in the summer semester: July 31
    • For stays in the winter semester: January 31

    Missed the deadlines? You may still find an interesting place when the remaining places are allocated. Remaining places will be announced by the International Affairs team at the beginning of October/April under Partner Universities/ Remaining Places.

    We take care of the organizational aspects of the application process:

    We check your application and forward it to the responsible cooperation officer. If the responsible cooperation officer nominates you at your host university and you wish to accept the place, your application will be forwarded to the Erasmus team at the International Office, which will inform you by email about the next steps.
    The International Office will take care of the further organizational processing and payment of the Erasmus+ scholarship.
