On November 3, 2016, the forum"Digital Innovations in Practice" took place on the premises of the Kasseler Sparkasse. This event, organized by the Wirtschaftsjunioren Kassel e.V. and promotion Nordhessen, also featured two members of staff from the Department of Information Systems (Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister) at the University of Kassel: Dr. Philipp Bitzer, who moderated the event, and Dr. Philipp Ebel. who took part in the panel discussion as one of the three speakers. The event kicked off after brief welcomes with a keynote by Jörg Lambrecht, successful serial founder and currently, among other things, CEO and co-founder of DeDrone. 

In view of the fact that the digital transformation poses enormous challenges for companies of all sizes, this event focused on the question of what the digital transformation means for existing business models and how innovations can also be developed in traditional industries.
