Socially desirable responses are a major problem in surveys on sustainable purchasing behavior. In their article in the journal "Sustainability", Dr. Sven Kilian and Prof. Dr. Andreas Mann show on the one hand the extent of this problem based on two experimental studies and on the other hand provide concrete advice for the design of indirect quantitative surveys to avoid socially desirable responses.
