On November 3, Prof. Leimeister took part in the digitalization congress "Arbeitswelt 4.0" (World of Work 4.0) organized by the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB) and discussed opportunities and risks for good work in the digital age with representatives from politics and business. In addition to the Federal Minister of Labor, Andrea Nahles, and the chairpersons of the DGB, IG Metall and ver.di, numerous experts from science, politics and culture also took part in the congress.

In this context, Prof. Leimeister focused on crowd work as an increasingly relevant form of digital work and discussed possible implications for both employees and companies. In the panel discussion , Prof. Leimeister was also able to present some interesting results from a current Germany-wide survey with crowd workers, which was conducted as part of the project "Crowd Work - Arbeiten in der Wolke" (Crowd Work - Working in the Cloud) funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation.
