On Friday, October 26, 2018, the habilitation lecture of Assistant Professor Dr. Matthias Söllner took place. Matthias Söllner had submitted his habilitation thesis on "Understanding and Designing Effective Digital Innovations in Learning" to the University of St.Gallen in November 2017. The cumulative habilitation thesis comprises central research results that Matthias Söllner has developed in the past years, together with his team, in the subject areas "Effective IT use in university teaching and learning" and "Effective IT use in company training and continuing education". In the habilitation lecture, he presented on the topic of "Development and Evaluation of an IT-based Formative Feedback Tool for Enhancing Student Learning Outcomes". The lecture is based on a recent joint research article that Matthias Söllner will present together with Roman Rietsche, Kevin Duss and Jan Martin Persch at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in San Francisco in December. In the evening after the habilitation lecture, an apero was held to celebrate this milestone among colleagues at the Institute of Information Systems.
