On March 29, 2019, Professor Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Director of the Scientific Center for Information Technology Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel, gave a lecture at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Founded in 1905 as the "King Edward VII College of Medicine" , NUS is the oldest and, in terms of student numbers, the largest university in Singapore and is one of the most renowned universities in Asia and the world.

 Professor Leimeister's presentation was part of the DISA seminar series at the National University of Singapore and wastitled  "How to Keep Crowd Workers Happy". Based on an online survey of 434 crowd workers from 23 platforms, the content of the seminar focused on the context of this new form of work organization, including perceived satisfaction with crowd work, a better understanding of this new form of digital work in general, and how perceived task characteristics and financial compensation together influence desirable working conditions for crowd workers.

Professor Leimeister's presentation was followed by a joint discussion of the results with the researchers from the National University of Singapore who were present.
