Teaching concept

Our teaching program includes the theory-based, application-oriented, project-based and case-based training of students in the Bachelor's degree programs in Business Information Systems and Economics as well as the Master's degree programs "Digital Innovation and Transformation" and "Business Studies" (and other degree programs offered by the Department of Economics). Our aim is to train our graduates to become flexible and team-oriented personalities who are able to apply their specialist knowledge to real-world problems as well as mastering a scientific approach to practical problems. Typical careers for our graduates are as information or project managers, system specialists or IT consultants. In addition, we want to prepare our graduates to pursue an academic career in business informatics and to qualify for future management tasks.

To this end, we teach the necessary theoretical foundations and methods in our courses. By integrating current research findings into teaching, we aim to achieve a close link between teaching and research. In addition, students have the opportunity to work on current research questions and projects in Bachelor's or Master's theses.

In order to guarantee and improve the quality of our courses, we will carry out regular evaluations of our courses. The results will be made available to students.
