- 2024 - 2025: Interim Professor for Public Law, Business Law and Administrative Sciences at the University of Osnabrück.
- Since 2023: Acquisition of 6 collaborative projects in own name with a total share of over 1,4 million EUR:
- Privacy-preserving and legally compliant eye tracking in everyday digital life (PRETINA)
- Secure self-disclosure in intimate communication with dialog systems (SENTIMENT)
- Privacy-enhancing digital infrastructures (PriDI) – An open web index for more privacy in digital search engines (Coordinator of the project)
- Scientific Coordination and Moderation of the “Platform Privacy” (PlattformPrivat) (together with Hornung, G.)
- ZEVEDI Project Group: Big Data and AI in German Security Authorities (KISib)
- Diversity-oriented privacy protection in digital environments (DiversPrivat)
- Supervision of dissertations/doctoral theses (currently 5 active primary supervisions), bachelor's and master's theses (a total of over 50 primary and secondary supervisions), internships and trainee lawyers.
- 2023: Habilitation, awarded the teaching license (venia legendi) for public law and law of the digital society.
- Since 2022: Managing partner of the Datenrecht Beratungsgesellschaft (Data Law Consulting).
- Since 2021: Researcher in the project Scientific Coordination and Moderation of the “Platform Privacy” (PlattformPrivat).
- 2019 - 2023: Researcher in the project The implications of conversing with intelligent machines in everyday life for people's beliefs about algorithms, their communication. behavior and their relationship building (IMPACT).
- 2017 - 2024: Associated postdoc in the DFG Research Training Group 2050: Privacy and Trust for Mobile Users.
- Since 2017: Managing director of the project group “provet”.
- 2014 - 2016: Researcher in the project Investigation of the mapping and analysis of the privacy arena (Privacy Arena).
- 2013: PhD on the topic "Legally compliant use of security measures in public transport".
- 2011 - 2014: Researcher in the project Security Impact Assessment Measures - A decision support system for security technologies (SIAM).
- 2010: Awarded a Master’s degree in “Master of German and Foreign Law” (Magister iuris).
- 2008: Obtained the “Certificate of Higher Education (English Law)” (LLCert) at the De Montfort Law School.
- 2003 - 2010: Studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and De Montfort University Leicester, England.
