The Greenhouse for Tropical Crops is a central facility of FB 11. It is used for teaching and research, offers space for student project work and is open to the public.

The research greenhouse is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic climate and control technology and, with 10 small and 4 large cabins on a total floor space of 200 m², offers the opportunity to carry out a wide range of experimental questions in exact experiments.
